History
Jim Murray began his career in the real estate brokerage business in 1969 as the director of Land Brokerage activity on behalf of A.L. Allen & Sons in Geneva, Illinois. Throughout the 1970’s he was involved in the many agricultural land transactions that occurred in the central and northern parts of Illinois.

As the 1980’s approached and the Fox Valley area began to blossom, Jim was instrumental in assembling significant parcels of land that would later be annexed to the cities within the Fox Valley area for mixed use development.
In 1986, Jim Murray structured Foxfield Realty, Inc., focusing his efforts and experience to serve the residential, commercial and agricultural real estate markets within Illinois. Throughout the 1990’s Jim continued to assist his clients in the areas of land assemblage, acquisition, disposition and the development of properties.

In 1996, his son, Jace Murray, joined the firm to pursue the ongoing interest of Foxfield Realty, Inc. in the areas of investment and commercial real estate. In 1990, Murray Properties, Inc. was formed as a real estate property management, development and leasing firm. It was apparent that as the two entities continued to service their respective clients there was a synergy among the two business units.

Today, Murray Properties, Inc. has evolved to encompass the aspects of a full service Real Estate Brokerage & Asset Management firm, offering years of experience within the real estate brokerage community and providing all the attributes that a real estate investor comes to expect.
